Today was filled with emotions as Madrid played Manchester City in the semi finals of the Champions. I really wanted to go to Manchester to see the game and last week, I contacted my friend Ruben. He is one of the biggest Madrid supporter I know. However, due to his recent work promotion he told me he was not able to make it this time. I then decided to watch the game at work.
In the middle of the game, my coworker Eric decides to turn off the TV to have a meeting. I was livid. What was more upsetting is that as soon as he turned off the TV, all I heard was “gool!”. After the game was over, my friend Cristian (who is the biggest anti-madrid fan that I know) texts our group chat stating that Madrid never had a chance this season.
To relieve stress, I went to play soccer after. However, I am not fully recovered from my shoulder injury while at the gym and did not do as well on the field as I normally would.
I continued to work on the infrastructure of my site in the evening and got distracted along the way watching TikTok. One fun fact that I learned this week, is the TikTok notifies you when someone else visits your profile. Shame for me is that I was visiting profiles of people who I knew and wasn’t even friends with.
At night, I showed my coworkers how my website is structured and how it will be once its completed. They gave me positive feedbacks and furthered encouraged me to work on it. On my way to my house, I messaged my friend (we will call her N 🇲🇽), and told her to check out my blog. She said she will once she gets a change. Honestly, I hid the name because she might read this blog. In reality, she is really busy to reply back and takes a few days. I cannot change people, I can only accept them how they are.
A message to my friends and family I don’t often see.
I truly wish all my friends to do well in whatever it is that they are doing. I follow a lot of them on social media and even if we don’t interact, I wish them the best in their business, decision, school, family, etc. That is all for today. I don’t think it was a productive day. I hope tomorrow gets better.
